The mission of Greenwood University is to educate students to be leaders to impact the world, advance the work of God and improve society through embodying excellence in programs of Christian higher education and development in Christian faith, thought and practice.
This mission is accomplished through a comprehensive program of biblical, theological, and general education, Christ-centered service, and support, and applied for a scholarship in practical environments.

Ultimately, GWU desires to prepare and inspire students to impact the world for God through higher education and field education in the area needed for church and our missions for the world.

Greenwood University is a private, non-profit Christian University operating under a non-profit exemption by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (B.P.P.E.). The BPPE ensures that private institutions of postsecondary education are conducted lawfully.
GWU was founded in 2017 and offers graduate online programs. Our programs have received religious exemption status(renewed in 2019) by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (B.P.P.E.) under the Department of Consumer Affairs.
